HOlding what is.

Therapy That Meets You Where You Are

At Cultivating Capacity, you'll find grounded presence, discerning insight, and emotionally intelligent care—always leading with depth over drama. This is therapy that invites rather than insists, calls forth rather than imposes, and always makes space for your own wisdom to rise.

How therapy works

The Cultivating Capacity Difference

My approach centers on a fundamental truth: Healing happens in relationship, not in isolation. Through collaborative treatment planning, transparent communication, and genuine respect for your lived experience, we create space for the transformation you’re seeking. Every session is designed to honor your wisdom while expanding what feels possible.

Connection + Compatibility

Finding Your Therapeutic Home

You might find deep resonance here if you're:
  • A high-capacity woman who’s mastered handling everything gracefully but knows this approach isn't sustainable.
  • Part of a couple or family committed to healing relational patterns rather than just managing conflict.
  • A survivor seeking trauma-informed care that doesn't pathologize your responses.
  • A creative person wanting to reclaim your relationship with your craft.
  • A helping professional experiencing burnout or needing more than supervision.
  • Ready for collaborative partnership rather than expert-patient dynamics.
  • Seeking depth over quick fixes and willing to explore underlying patterns.
This approach might not be a fit if you:
  • Prefer directive, advice-giving approaches to therapy.
  • Expect immediate results without engaging in a collaborative process.
  • Are primarily seeking crisis intervention or acute psychiatric care.
  • Aren’t interested in exploring how relationships and systems impact your experience.

How We Can Work Together

Cultivating Capacity Therapy Specializations Lefthand Design Element Individual Therapy

Individual Therapy

One-on-one therapy for women who've tried handling it all—gracefully, thanklessly, and alone—and are ready for something different. Whether you're sorting through trauma, questioning everything, or just need a tune-up, this is a space to be real, be supported, and begin again. I help women in all life stages as they explore their relationship with themselves, others, time, institutions, and society's expectations and failings. Therapy with me is 100% personalized and collaborative—no “cookie-cutter” treatment plans here. Based on your goals, strengths, and needs, I pull pieces from different therapeutic approaches as we create your treatment plan together and in real time. I bring the building blocks, and we decide as a team what feels like a good fit for you, for now, and for the future.

Couples + Cules Counseling

Couples and partnerships of all varieties are welcome—married, separated, divorcing, engaged, kink, LGBTQIA2S+, and partners embracing ENM or polyamory. If it's complicated, you're in the right place. I approach this work with a collaborative spirit, using an eclectic blend of methodologies tailored to the needs of your relationship. For clients who are interested or enjoy completing comprehensive assessments, I also incorporate Gottman Institute tools.

REQUIREMENTS: At least one initial consultation with the partners together
(this prevents forced or coerced attendance, as well as partners showing up solo), as well as individual meetings with each partner as part of treatment planning. All parties must agree to the paperwork and a no-secrets policy.
INVESTMENT: $250 for intake, $150 per 50-minute individual session,
$250 per 90-minute joint session.
Additional fees for Gottman Institute assessments.

Cultivating Capacity - Therapy - Specializations - Lefthand Design Element - Family Therapy

family therapy

Families sometimes need a little help navigating both welcome milestones and challenging transitions: newborns, adopting a child, co-parenting after divorce, caring for ailing parents or a disabled family member, empty-nesting, and more. I also support families navigating the systemic barriers and cultural pressures that can complicate their relationships.
This service is open to families of two or more people (parents, children, extended family, siblings, multiple generations, foster family, adopted family, surrogates, etc.) The initial consultation can vary. For example, I might meet with the parents of young children or siblings who want to bring their aging parents to the intake. I meet with each person individually as well as the whole family as part of treatment planning.

REQUIREMENTS: All parties must agree to paperwork and no-secrets policy; parental consent for minor children; legal custody document review when applicable.
INVESTMENT: $250 for intake sessions (sometimes there is more than one),
$150 per 50-minute individual sessions, $250 per 90-minute joint session.
